Stage 20 is the big and threatening speed bump to glory for the Maglia Rosa, according to many reports.

Will lack of experience at Grand Tour level derail the Mexican’s GC or is he simply too well conditioned and talented to ‘break the old and conventional ways’ of winning over 3 weeks?

Go, Richie!

Stage 20 will be fascinating to watch for this very question.

At times I thought he burned matches unnecessarily which could come back to bite in the latter stages. That said, he has also ridden with maturity beyond his years & experience at this level.

Del Toro did well to bounce back yesterday but he also showed vulnerabilities again up the mortirolo. The ending to the stage also suited him to a tee. Friday and Saturday will be very tough and I foresee similar issues on multi mountain alpine stages. I’d be very surprised if he stayed in pink come Sunday.

Meintjes up to 21st on GC

I don't think he is really doing GC here, stage win must be the goal. he tried to get into the break, but seemed to have missed the big one.

there he goes again

Would be great if he could pull off a stage win!

And he joins the break of the day!!

Great, According to the Giro website live feed, Carapaz is also in the break? Why did UAE allow that to happen?

Nevermind, website was wrong, he is not in the break, thank you :)

Only started watching now, how did yates get away from uae?

He attacked and they let him go. Held it within min but Toro refused to ride and waited for Carapaz to do all the riding.

Bizarre 🤔
