Hi Everyone,

Can someone suggested perhaps a shop that can custom lathe a Main pivot bolt for me, I require the exact same Main pivot bolt as the Stumpjumper 2019 except in Right handed thread and not left handed threat. Also trying to avoid needing to purchase the whole bolt kit and would rather just prefer to buy 2x of the main pivot bolts.

Thanks

Are there a few Chinese designs? Reason I ask is that I ride what I would refer to as generic or Chinese/open mold but largely influenced and then marketed by Adrenalin here in SA? A pic of the frame would be interesting?

I know main pivot bolts for my 2015 are as scarce as a hens 2 front teeth but if I needed one I'd trawl smaller engineering Co's that would be prepared to turn one or two?

Post a pic - I have quite a lot of pivot bolts and might have what you need.

Do you have one that might fit an old Epic FSR?

Thread revival.

I have stripped the drive side (reverse thread) main pivot bolt on my 2019 Stumpy and Spez only sells the full kit at quite a price.

Any ideas where this can be machined for cheaper?
I am guessing as this is the bolt most people strip, the parts bins would not stock a lot of these.

I'd imagine that by the time you've paid a decent machinist to make one up you may as well just have bought the kit.

Agree with Droo, the research and contacting companies I did , it worked out cheaper to buy the full kit, than to have it machined, but let me get back to you, I may have 1 Reverse thread bolt that I never used in my Chinese frame due to it not using reverse thread bolts and I bought 2x kits.
