On my ride this morning my bike started making a really strange noise on the second downhill section of the ride.

It sounded like my rear shock was loose and I could feel the bike rattling around.

It was so bad that it was affecting the bike's handling.

I stopped to see what was going on. Check the shock, tight. Headset, wheels- all good. Nothing seemed loose.

I shook the whole bike and there is a loud "clunk-clunk-clunk" noise.

I froze my water bottle last night in anticipation of a hot day and at the top of the climb I had drained all the liquid, which left a solid chunk of about 300g of ice in the bottle. Without any liquid in there, the ice was shaking around like crazy, causing all sorts of nonsense.

A bit of water from my camelbak and problem solved.
