The saga continues! New caliper fitted by the dealer, but the system is still sucking air. Seems a new master cylinder might be needed as well 😟

Check that they didnt skimp and just plugged the old hoses back in? In a pinch you can hack it and plonk the hose with a previously crushed olive back in there, but it is almost certain to not be a perfect seal. Exactly why you dont use old olives on water pipes either. Ive seen worse things than that…its totally possible

Looks like the real culprit might be a kinked brake line. Now to hope there is stock of a new one and the relevant fittings

You buy Shimano hose by the meter and if you get stuck, I have a box full of olives, willys and necessary fittings

Jagwire might have what you need.

If you have photos of the parts you need I might be able to help

Thanks guys, I'm looking for the SM-BH90 hose kit for the Deore XT 8120 brakes. I'll confirm with the dealer if they can get hold of a Jagwire hose if there is no stock of the Shimano.

Olympic cycles sell top quality shimano hose by the Meter. The 'kit' you need is a banjo fitting and a lever assembly olive, willy and if you don't have, the threaded lever bolt that ties it all together.

ANY bike shop has this. You're over complicating it.

I even have banjo fittings as well as the lever end stuff.
