Shebeen Posted September 28, 2022 Share bliksem, this is legit. and after a '20 and '21 setback it's happening in under a month! https://rhinorun.cc/the-route There are some monster names on the startlist - Sehili, Willcox amongst others https://rhinorun.cc/rider-start-list i'm not sure why there's not much chatter here yet, it sure flew under my radar. till then watch this videepick of a recce ride i'm guessing about this time last year as it got coviddded' Edited October 28, 2022 by Shebeen CARANXCycleMobile, tinmug, christovdw and 2 others
Dusty Posted September 28, 2022 Share It will be great if all those names arrive (I'm not convinced that all will😉). A couple of the ladies on that list are proper contenders. Lael vs Sarah will be an interesting duel to watch in itself. The tough conditions (viz heat) once they hit the western section of the route will test the riders properly. MongooseMan Posted October 20, 2022 Share Pretty sure it's tomorrow? (at least that's what the website, and benky's warmup ride on strava says) I see lael has pulled out, which is a pity. Dusty

christovdw Posted October 20, 2022 Share That buy a donkey video is definitely worth a watch! Rae Trew-Browne, Bas Rotgans and Max Riese give a great view of some of the route and the challenges! Rowl

SSCC Posted October 22, 2022 Share Benky just finished the 1st section of the race. He smashed the 726km Cross Cape route from Plett to Stellenbosch in 38hrs!! Insane.

Stephan Posted October 25, 2022 Share Why is nobody talking about this? What a race! Benky and Abdulllah from Aus seem to be changing the lead every few hours, but they are way ahead of everyone else after 1675km . Still more than a 1000km to go to Windhoek. https://rhinorun.cc/maprogress-race-tracker
