Then the bottle will touch the rear shock

Wow that must be tight then.

Please post a pic, I'm curious.

Edit: Nevermind, I googled. The forward rake of the rear shock doesn't help at all.

Maybe just maybe a tube strap/tool roll can fit between the bottle cage and the shock, but that will be trial and error.

get a Tubolito spare tube [really tiny] and a mini-pump from Takealot.

take some tyre plugs, a small patch of hard plastic or old piece of tyre to patch large cuts from the inside when inserting the tube so it doesn't bulge out

spare valve and valve tool

small flat multi bike tool with chain breaker

spare chain quick link

The pump is tiny and takes a bit to pump up an MTB tyre but its for emergencies only

I fit all the above in a Specialized SWAT box no problem as in the pic another member posted

Solomons Woodmead have these as well - the short ones and the long ones c/w cage - I have the short one on my MTB seat tube. the best tool bottle i've used - It opens up like a clamshell so you don't have to unpack everything and you can actually fit in a lot of tools.

A word of warning though. - the zip is very tight especially when you pull it through the corners any mud in the zip and it will jam - I found the zipper tab to be a bit flimsy and it actually broke on TB so  i jerry rigged a stronger tab, the zip also started splitting open after it closed, I used a flat punch and smacked the zipper so its a bit tighter, after cleaning out the mud i used some chain dry lube on the zip - It now glides like an E-Bike up a mine shaft,

Very adjustable and will suit just about any frame

Follow this link for different ideas to get it into frames: https://www.lynecomponents.com/blog

and a lot cheaper than the Specialized SWAT stuff too....😀

the zip though on that box worries me...they get broken very quickly in my experience...

So far mine has held up. And I am no surgeon with my dexterity of opening zips either

Get a holy rail from Lyne. You'll be able to mount the rail lower on the frame, then angle the cage with a shim. A side entry cage is your only option though

Chat to Dayle at Lyne - he's very helpful: www.lynecomponents.com
