When will the seedings be sent out? 🫣

Entries close on the 29th. Seeding is then done and in theory you should have it 3 to 4 days later. Unfortunately this entire process is out of our control and is handled by RaceTec/Finish time.

Let it begin 😉

Usual “if you believe a Cape Town forecast a week out I have some nice snake oil to sell you” disclaimers, but temperature is looking nice, at least.

that cross-headwind on the way back could make for a lot of people sheltering in the gutters and could reduce the echelons crossing the middle line at least 😂

"No race number collection on race day."

😠 Number collection is the worst part of these races.

Durbanville and Claremont as the only collection points.

Yeah, I hear you. Logistics is a major problem. To be fair, every other race also only has 2 collection points. Durbie Dash, Tour de PPA. Winelands, etc

So we have cater for the 2 major regions: Southern suburbs and Northern suburbs

Winelands actually haf three points.

Paarl

Southern suburbs

CWC

But yes, it is always going to be a logistical issue.

Hi

That would be very difficult for us as organizers to control and get uniformity. Each race category is a different colour. The Trilogy has a different race board, etc. Also, this whole process is controlled by Racetec, not us. We are messagers delivering the message 😁

Lastly, remember the Cape Town Cycle Tour disaster when a professional organization like them tried to print race numbers on the day.....

@NicholasH Quick question - do I understand the website correct that no substitutions are allowed? I entered early but a school activity unexpectedly popped up for Sat Morning, would not want my entry go to waste.

For number collection: Where exactly is the Cavendish Square centre court?

The gravel route says it crosses 14 A-frames at some point - are these ridable or are we going to do some cyclocross running up and down these?

That sounds like the Klipheuwel trail, with a string of A-frames.

All perfectly ridable.  Patrick and his team keeps a good eye on these, or rather, members moan quickly and then Patrick fixes it the next day.

It depends if you know your way around going over an a-frame. If you are a mountain biker, it's easy peasy. The fun part is the bumpy single track, which isn't gravel bike friendly, inbetween the a-frames
