Just a general FYI : I try and assist where I can but we have no control over seeding or getting your start time email, etc

Anything related to those questions has to be sent to Finish Time directly.

Email them, details on their website.

Anything else to do with the organization of the event I can definitely try and help

Finish Time certainly upped their game over the last year.

Their emails are COMPLETE.  Every bit of information one can possibly need is captured in it.

After Winelands I noticed a 15 minute discrepancy on my race time.  Logged in later and it was sorted out, without me having to contact them.

Morning all

FYI : take note of the chute loading times and factor in your travel time and parking. We had our final planning meeting last and I'm afraid that parking this year is going to be a mission 😓 ....our humble apologies.

Also, VERY NB : note that the 76km event start is split by the Trilogy. We had to do this to accommodate the huge 95km group and the massive (almost 500) number of Trilogy riders.

If you can cycle to the event please do so!

Now we just need them to overhaul that website. Or essentially merge Racetec with FinishTime.

It would actually be nice if we had 1 website where all our races can be seen. I have results everywhere with all these different timing companies.

Hi

I was told by Finish Time that you can do this AT REGISTRATION ONLY (NOT at number collection on Saturday morning)

Glad to hear. I checked now and my result from last year is no longer even reflecting on their site.
I've gone from a top 20 placing in the Trilogy to now having a DNF... and the oke on an ebike (which wasn't allowed last year in the Trilogy) is still showing a top 10 placing.... WTF 🫣

So we had a site meeting at the finish area last night. Unlike Durbie Dash, our finish line is after Schoongezicht street. So, after the climb to the end, you still have almost 500m to the actual finish line and there will be a huge tower across the road so you can't miss the actual finish line. I did request 200m and 100m signage last night but it is too late. We will def arrange for that for next year.

Awesome thank you! Great to know that our input is being heard. Much appreciated

That's a lot of bicycle riders - looks like no shortage of wheels to suck.

Yeah, can proudly say (with humility - is that possible?) we are the SECOND biggest cycle event in the Western Cape. Only the Cycle Tour has more entries than us. We are expecting over 4000 cyclists on the day across all the groups!
