@NicholasH any way we can get photos from this event?

Let me find out...we didn't have an official photographer as such (like in the Cycle Tour) but we did have 2 video media guys and 1 still photographer there on behalf of SuperSport - it is showcasing on Cadence tomorrow night I believe.

Thus, there is possibly some kind of photo repository somewhere....

@NicholasH, sorry, couldn't find an event page for 2026. As always, highly looking forward to your brilliant event.

Without putting too much pressure on you and expecting answers to things that are wayyyyyy out of your hands, do you have any news on the status of Adderley road ahead of race day.

Ive not ridden it since Christmas day, but drove it on Saturday and crikey... those 3 or so km from the Philadelphia t junction are horrific. If there are still bunches, I foresee a lot of accidents.

Thanks

we have been in contact with road authorities and the promised to have it fixed in time....

We raced it on Sunday for provincial champs. It was bad, but manageable with a lot of spray paint and warnings signs / cones.

Seems some "random person" creates a 99er event page on BH...

Yes, we are extremely aware of the road conditions. Unacceptable from a race point of view thus we have been in contact with road authorities and the promised to have it fixed in time....

One can only hope and pray....

Thanks for the quick reply. Good luck with all the prep work, and fingers crossed with the road fix. we look forward to another fantastic day out.

Looking forward to another awesome 99er, 1 of my favorite races on the calendar. Waiting patiently for the seedings 😎

We close entries tonight for the seeding to be done and then I believe they open again in a weeks time for a late late entries (but i speak under correction)

We are expecting a record number of entries this year and we have expanded the venue and facilities accordingly. We also did an extensive survey last year and have implemented a few things based on feedback. For example, the bridge connecting the neutral zone to the venue has been change so that it is now a smooth RAMP and not stairs 🙂

Looking forward to seeing you all on the 7th!

I was so looking forward to carrying the e-bike up those stairs ....🤣

Holding thumbs your efforts with the repairs along Adderley reaps rewards.

Thank you Nicholas.

I have entered the Trilogy, but can’t decide if I must ride my gravel bike Or put narrower tyres on my Super Caliber. Bit nervous of the A frames on my gravel bike!! Will have no problem with them on my MTB. I have never ridden out there but from some of the pics the gravel looks rough. Anyone got suggestions what will work best. Thanks

I rode the entire route as a recce last Saturday on a hardtail MTB with 2.35 tyres. Perfect for the course. Respectfully, unless you are a gravel racing snake, stick to a regular MTB

Would of been nice if scholars pay less for entries

Arrie, I hear you. Unfortunately our race costs silly money to host (you won't believe it if I shared numbers) and we also have to pay Racetec, PPA, etc. Every discounted entry would COST US, not just reduce our turnover.

Remember, we run this as volunteers as parents of the school kids. We put in 100s of hours, literally without pay and every cent profit we may make goes to the school

If Banhoek is anything to go by .... trails have taken a serious beating after 7 dry months !!  Utter extremes between recent trail repairs and other sections ... couple of Oooo s h ! t moments .... come out of a fast flowing single track and the next moment you have to cross a concrete drain line with sharp edges ....
