The gpx on the website has this little in and out at ~53km:

Is it real or will I get a little lost seeing as though by then I should be well and truly dropped and solo?

looks like a small glitch but I don’t see it as such a long one on my track… anyways plenty of arrows there so you can’t go wrong

ooooh ! I was wondering how anyone could know about the turn I missed in the descent, but now I do remember you missing a turn while chasing me 😂

I had alerts muted and the wahoo eventually found a new route, and because it's in the general right direction I kept going for 5km before the gravel unexpectedly became tar and I realised something was wrong... 💀

Ok riders....route is now all marked with red arrows...and looking beautiful!!

Please be on the lookout for the 130\80km and 30km splits...I have been generous with the arrows and there will be marshals at the 3 splits but you need to be careful and preferably load the gpx files so you get an early warning on the turnoffs..

Thank you. Great event and good fun to ride. Probably the smoothest gravel in SA which makes for a fast race.

Did the 130k. Really fun route and the climb is a real one. It’s was only 122k though. I was more in the front of the race and there was no water point around the 85k mark which a few of the riders I was with suffered from.

We passed the first one after a good hour of riding where we didn’t stop and the next one was the one where the 80k and 130k routes joined again. But that was as well at only 60km.

a good spot for a water point would be around the 92km mark just before you tackle the road section.
