3 x 9 Shimano Acera groupset work on a 2022 Giant Rincon 29"?

why would you want to put Acera on, add some money and put something like Deore or SLX on it but I don't think it will be a problem to make the 3 x 9 Acera work on it.

its mainly because i found a 2nd hand groupset and because my bicycle gears/brakes stopped working first my brother got the chain off the casette. then after putting it back it never sounded the same. i got the bicycle full of mud then i sprayed it off. after that the brakes and gears stopped working

It wil work, just a heads up if you replace the brakes, if the hoses was cut or too short it will require a bleed. gears will work.

Sounds like the bike just needs a bit of TLC from a decent mechanic, not a new groupset

Ok thanks guys. will fix it. but im also looking at modifying the bicycle in the future what systems will be compatible?
