Read the link and Use the pay system.. the hub run a tight ship.. I tried to make a purchase and the guy also didn’t understand the payment system and didn’t want to ship the trainor before getting paid etc.. Matt sorted it out and refunded me without any fees as the deal soured for me and I ended buying from my local shop on a deal they had.. was very happy with how BH dealt with it. Use it and you money is safe..

What if you ship your item and the buyer says he never received the item?  You have proof that he did receive it from the Courier.  So he has the goods?  Is the money refunded to him?

No one can cover every single eventuality. One can cook up all sorts of unlikely scenarios that BH pay or any sort of 'shipped' deal goes south.

If you didn't use BH pay you would be in a sticky situation regardless.

It offers a level of safety, it offers a peace of mind through reasonable circumstances that you simply don't have paying and trusting.

If you are a 'what if' person with an active imagination and fear of being scammed, simply sell to those who can collect and pay on collection.

There is absolutely no way ALL imagined threats can be covered

Furthermore, should a Buyer disappear and the courier records show delivery: the item can be deemed as accepted.

It's (usually) not hard for a third party to determine on the balance of available evidence who the money should go to. In your example bikehub would pay out to you.
