Is it me or is there no way to simply hit back on the app when you have gone into an add and want to return to the filtered view created in a search ?

The current method

It looks like you’re on an iPhone. Is that right?

To go back to the previous page (e.g., from an ad page to your search results) in Safari on iOS, you can either:

• Swipe from the left edge of the screen to the right, or
• Tap the back arrow (<) in the bottom-left corner of Safari (on iPhone) or the top-left (on iPad).

A better solution?

We’re also looking into ways to make this navigation feel more intuitive in future updates. You’re not the first person to run into this.

Out of interest, how are you currently navigating back? Are you tapping the breadcrumb link and landing on an unfiltered category page?

If that link instead returned you to your search results, would that feel more natural?

My phone navigation buttons disappear on the Bike Hub site. I have to kinda pull the navigation bar up from the very bottom of my screen. Took me a while to figure this out as it doesn't happen on any other apps. But when I do that, I can push my phone's back button and it goes back to my filtered adds. Hope that helps 😁

Hi Kim

It sounds like you're using the Progressive Web App (PWA) version of the site which is designed to feel more like a native phone app. It generally works well but we know navigation without browser buttons could be smoother. We'll be working on that soon. I'm glad that you found a workaround in the meantime.

@Nick just an FYI in case you haven't seen it, but the "Sell" button is off-screen/overflowing in Chrome on my phone (S23).

Any chances for Dark Mode? everything these days is making use of dark mode, which has made one use to that format, and the sudden switch to a bright screen is quite garish, especially at night. Its more a nice to have than a must have, but it would be awesome.

We pushed a fix last night. It looks like the search bar was acting a bit unruly. Could you let me know if you’re still experiencing any issues?

Dark mode is definitely on the cards. It’s something we’d love to add. The challenge is that, as a small team, we have to be careful about where we put our time. So far, other priorities have edged it out, but it’s not forgotten.
