This is only the extender. You still need the swan neck adapter for R4500:

Thinking maybe i don't even need those.

I wonder if any shops will allow me to test the different racks.

I have a Prado with the wheel on the back and my Thule fits (only just, but enough) without an extension.

What does the towbar look like on the Jetour T2? If its the square interface, you have many options to extend. 

If its a goose neck like on the Defender, youre screwed. 

I had Autobar towbar on my Prado with the rear sparewheel and the standard towbar extended just far enough for a standard Thule to clear the sparewheel

You're not "screwed" with the defender style gooseneck you just have to use the attachment + extender. You then either choose to leave the tow bar out with the attachment on (no worse than a non deployable towbar), or you would have to remove and attach the attachment when you want to use the rack if you want to stow the towbar.

Yes sure its not ideal that it costs R3-R4k more (extender cost itself is the same) but its a very feasible option otherwise.
