I find it very amusing that you all go out after the cop, but no one sees what the cyclist does prior to the incident.

If you look at the actions of the cop, he does not BEAT the cyclist, he shoulders him off his bike.  I doubt that was a blatant attack on a cyclist.

Tromps' date=' not sure what your are seeing.  I see a cyclist trying to avoid a collision with a cop and then a cop giving him the elbow.[/quote']

I see a TWO cops standing in the road. Then I see one cop moving to the side, almost like he is going for the cyclis, and then shouldering him off his bike.

I understand the frustration in the "attack" perseption. But, my question remains, what does the cop see, that we did not see???

That is true, but whacking a guy of his bicycle does not go for the minimum violence line.

I am sure if that guy did something that needs to be sorted out, surely ordering him to stop verbally and by hand signals would be the first thing to do.

Did you watch the same clip tromps? I see the cyclist riding down the road and then swerving slightly to get out of the way of the cop, who then speeds up and slams into the cyclist. To protect and serve?, the cyclist was served for sure!

You see, you need to remember. This is America, not South Africa. Here, minimum force is required. There, it does not exaclty work the same.

Plus lots of American cops are on steroids so roid rage happens.
