Have a look at James Huang's coverage of Interbike. I think he said, no weight difference between this frame and the Aluminium one but the steering precision should be better. The Trek full sus, comes out of the box at under 10kg.

Don't like it. Never liked the GT full sussers, and the position of the water bottle under the downtube is just stupid, never could understand how people can get to bottles there.

Yeah, the back end looks a bit odd, the bike doesn't seem to have any symmetry? Maybe it rides nicely, though. The Scott's are normally not to bad.

ja, I'm more intrigued by the dremmel'ed out  trick parts...looks like a 140mm rotor on the back.......

I'm sure you'll see himmmore on the new carbon HT anyways - that is if he's still with GT - anyone?
