If i missed something, please let me know Ermm And if you think I should ride something else, do not hold back with the commentsBig%20smile

I also think you should not ride those Mavic Ksyriums, they have the worst freewheel bodies in the world, ever!

So any bike without them is ok by me! Of that list I would pick the Obea or the Cannondale but please take off those *** wheels!

narra: if you're a bit of a heavier rider, I'd agree with TitusTi and stay clear of Ksyriums...my choices in what you have up there would be between the Orbea and the Raleigh...but ask about a different wheelset from whatever bike shop you buy it.

Narra.....nice to shop around for a new bike!!  Enjoy!!!!!

Well....you should know where my loyalty would lie.....CANNONDALE.

The Synaps fits in as a bike the caters for the "comfort over racing" rider.  The bike is built for a soft ride.  Not as stiff as the Six13.  FULL carbon.

I have a very good friend that rode the Synapse for a year or so.  He is very impressed with the bike.  Raced VA with it and had no problems what so ever.

Value for money I would say you should go for the Raleigh.

Looking at the wheels.....

# of spokes broken on the Mavic Ksyriums......5

# of spokes broken on the Campy Euros.........0

And I have done more km's on the Campy........My weight.....73kg.

Hope this helps!!

www.roadbikereview.com helped me a lot!

Good luck!!

In that price range you can pretty much pick any bike maker and your choice of material.

You're also very unlikely to find a bike that sucks, so the bike that you like the look of will be the best one.  Because you will be most keen to ride it.

Have fun shopping around, and post some bragging pics once you've done the deed.

theat orbea has class and pedigree.......its made in Europe (I think they still do?), so you can brag about that while sipping espresso......

Well, once again I'm gonna stand up and proudly proclaim the gospel of Titus.

Do yourself a favour and have a look at this one!

Give Bowman Cycles in CT a call and ask Shan Wilson what he thinks of it. He started riding one recently.
