Training for 94.7

Okay seeing that the last time someone tried to belittle me cause my 94.7 time was slow I have to beat my time by at least half an hour.

I started training last week again after a short time of being sick.

How can I build base. Start with SLD and some hill sprints ect ect. It feels that I might kill myself if I start doing 50 km+ rides at this stage. I did a 21 km after work today...

Any help on training would help as it seems that what I have been doing is worth nothing. <img src="https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley5.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Do quality work (sprints, explosive power, lactic acid buffering) on weekdays and do long slow basic and threshold endurance on weekends. If you want a personalized training program, contact me at maryke.verster87@gmail.com. I am a sport scientist.

Cois if you only have an hour a day during the week, make it a quality hour and put in longer distances over weekend.

i also suffer with having limited time to cycle over the week days.

please any suggestions for a quality 1hour training session. i have an indoor trainer as well.

'Cois' has not frequented the hub for 2 years I don't think, saw him last at Fountains XC race the end of 2008 ......

Okay who can cycle 50 km after work. I get off at 17H00. I was out last night till 18H00 (when it was darkish) I did 25 km. So I will have to be out till 19H00 (total darkness) How can it be done...

get lights?

or go to work early and negotiate leaving earlier?

or flex the programme to your needs - earlier this year when i trained for something i cycled a long detour to work, same detour back - tht way i was able to put in 60 kays of good mtb in a day - not every day, of course, but once or twice when needed
