Hello Guys' date='

The break was 11 riders, JP Pearton sitting on and went off just after halfway, leaving 10 riders, Velits, Hanco and Maaske sitting on not contributing [rightly so'] so that left 3 Barloworld riders also not driving the break, this means Microsoft were by far the dominant team, 4 riders and they did 85% of the work in front. [Most of it being done by Danny and Nic] With the in-form Lange and Impey in the move with a very strong Nic White to look after them they were in a dominant position.

So yes if they are doing most of the racing then they will get more mentions.

However I see you guys complaining about the amount of exposure Microsoft got and you do not mention that I did say during the commentary that, often in cycling when a team is in as dominant position as Microsoft was yesterday, they end up loosing?

Had Konica Minolta had 4 riders in a 10 man break away they would have had the lion?s share of the exposure?

Anyway, I can assure you I am most certainly not bias to Microsft or any other team for that matter.

Andrew Mclean.

Andrew, thanks for coming on, and I agree that the break was mostly the doings of Microsoft. They had the most riders in it, they were pacing a whole lot more than anyone else, and they won most of the primes.

You guys made a lot of other mistakes, though. For example in the start you mentioned that Hi-Q has Alex Froome. I've never heard of this guy, might be because he doesn't exist. It seemed Paul and Phil knew more about the South African racing. Also, I know this isn't your fault but have a look at it please, the profiles were all wrong. They said Maaske was 19 - He's something like 28. They said Tuis Sebona was 23 - He's 25. They said Jaques Janse van Rensburg is 1.89m - He's a shorty. Etcetera. I'm sure the team managers didn't give you the wrong info to use for the profiles. The coverage was unfortunately much worse than that of the Amashova and really just a big dissapointment. Also from the helicopter shots it was impossible to see anything meaningful, where at the Amashova you could clearly recognise riders from the respective teams (more like the Tour's TV coverage), but I suppose their was some reason for this. Hats off to the organisers of the Amashova.

I watched, thought it was good......well done to KM, I like to see the favourites upset.....

well done Yolande Du Toit - the rest of the women's racing was a joke....I've said this beofore, I dont think their shoul be any ladies teams.....every girl for themselves, then we'll see some racing...

I only watched the ladies race from the N14 to the end. If they were any slower the broadcast would have cut them short and not telivised. Well done to Yolandi. The funny part, not ha ha funny but tragic, was when one Cbist girl took two others out.

The beoadcast should have been longer. Why can they do it for the Comrades and not cycling. Another thing is it should have been on normal M-net or maybe even SABC. Not everybody's got DSTV.

There was other racing on aswell. They had the Seweweekspoort on and the Hill2Hill. Both of them looks like alot of fun.

I agree with Andrew! MS has had an incredible year. They have been the most consistent team this year, BY FAR!!!! They had the numbers and did most of the work. They are always trying to drive the breaks and have been successful on numerous occassions. Unlucky this time round but Im sure they will bounce back from it...

MS was unlucky to have 4 in the break. All pressure was on them. In my opinion they rode a great race. Nic did a fantastic job..... u need luck to win sometimes, and well done to Martin for a well timed attack.

Sometimes when you the underdog in that situation its easier to pull it off as you dont need to do any work. This must have been evident. You guys who slate the TV coverage also need to relax, its not everyday we get to see this so we should appreciate what SS did. Rome wasnt built in a day....

.... Velits' date=' Hanco and Maaske sitting on not contributing [rightly so']

From hardly any TV coverage last year to live coverage of the Elite mens and ladies race I say well done to all those who organised this.

Watched yesterday afternoon and thought the coverage was brilliant!
