Peanut not taking a swipe at you.The officials up on the embankment know they were at fault and passed the buck.

Sean: you never seen this before on the online entries or race pamphlets:

"Seeding:

Seeding to be done according to Cyclelab National Seeding index for all online entries and pre-entries received and paid before relevant closing dates.

Offline late entries will be accepted at registration only - a penalty fee of R50 will be applicable. No seeding for late entries"

Maybe this can be prevented in the new series by issuing each rider that enter the super series a card like the licence card to say he is part of the series. He will then need to present that at number collection and when required.

Yes,  I am considering either permanent numbers, or some other means of identification that ensures entry into the series.

It's just a pity that one incident means that money now has to be spent on preventing it next time, instead of the money going to prizes etc.

Surely you save money?Confused Mr Armstrong, here is you race number for the season. Please look after it otherwise you have to PAY for a new one. You issue once at the beginning of the season and no more Tannies doing admin repeatedly throughout the season.

I actually have no idea what this series is about so am totally winging it but hope it helps.Cool

Really sad to hear stories like this. It is unfortunately in a lot of sports and I recall seeing one of my team mates come past in the passenger seat at about 40 odd km during the Bloem Thabanchu road race (running) many years ago, mid eighties as I recall. We didnt realise what he had done when we were called up for the third team prize (the only time I ever went up) when he was called up as part of the winning team.................The dumbnut had got out at about 60km and then criused in for the last 4km in 16th place. We had to reject the prize even though we still had a runner behind us who would have given us enough to still take it. He was banned for life from further competion and we kicked him out of the club. It also happened to be my only top 20 finish in a big event EVEEEEEEEER! CryCryCryCryCryCry

It seems that cheating is becoming the order of the day' date=' in the VA bunch our Lost City VA winner decided that it was acceptable for him to motorpace behind a bus going up the drag to the maropeng road, from this he gained about a 45sec advantage on the bunch which he did not have the legs to use Cry, then towards the end he again jumped into the VB bunch and thried to wheel suck them to the finish, only to be upset when the officialdom correctly told hin to get out of the bunch. Now I know we all race for results, but realy why cheat, and why cheat when you still aint gonna win ********. [/quote']

Classic chirp Dfm. If some ponce wants to cheat, go ahead, he has to face the consequences of no-one having any respek for him. And of knowing that he's a fraud.

Is it possible to get the prize money back or is that a waste of time...........doesnt sound like the sort of guy you want to invite over for a braai!

The series doesn't print any numbers currently, the hosting event does.  So, now the event would have to print numbers, and the series as well.  I will need to discuss with the various timing companies etc to maybe get a specific block of numbers allocated to the series, then print a set of cloth numbers maybe.

Thanks mallo. Wasn't aware of that rule. I usually enter all races late but normally get grouped where my seeding says I should be. At the moment, that would be in ZZZ...

TNT1, two things:

1. Was OB wearing a helmet?

2. Why is he suddenly racing vets when he can still kick the arses of most Elites? He's not 45 yet is he?
