Chest pains

I've been experiencing shooting pains in my chest (slightly left from center) since the Hyper to Hyper.  I haven't been doing a whole lot of training (only a couple of interval sessions on the indoor trainer smileys/smiley11.gif) so no serious stress.. max I've gone to is about 175.  Should I be worried??? I've got the Liberty Ride for Sight on Sunday but I don't think I'll be pushing quite as hard as I did at the Hyper.  My HR average was 173!!

I have experienced it once. Went for an ECG, nothing wrong, the docter said it was from sitting bend down a lot on the bike that winds get trapped (He is cycling as well). He gave me pills for that and it stopped. I can't remember the name.

I think see a docter just to be sure.

I have found that the little muscles running acros your chest....wait....you'r da girl....so you have BIG muscles. smileys/smiley9.gifsmileys/smiley17.gif....sometimes get inflamation.  Espesially if you are not trained to do 3-5 hours on the bike.....

for starters every now and agian sit up and breath deep. that opens

the chest. sitting on your drop or bent over for a while "cramps your

style" so to say. your lung muscles need to be stretched aw well.

remember the more O2 u take in the more your lungs and muscles

need to stretch and expand, stop that from happening then u sit with

a problem. go see a doctor to set your mind at easy and just check

nothing is wrong. u have nothing to loose

An average of 173!  What is your max?  190?

That means you were cycling at 91% max - no wonder you are experiencing chest pains - RED LINING YOUR HEART THE WHOLE RACE.  Not good.

Go see a doctor for safety sake.........and take Marius with you as he seems to also need medical attention. smileys/smiley2.gif

Okay, this is a very old topic.

I've been experiencing some chest pains since Sunday's OFM. Had Flu before the Amashova and could not take part, so I started training slowly after the Amashova. I pushed it quite hard in the OFM as I had to work on my own in the CL batch to try and get a sub 3. HR was abnormal high as I had a Max of 220, but Average was okay at about 155 which I asume is fine. Missed my sub 3 with 4 minutes, but it was hard time trialing 110kms on my own... Should I be worried? HR this morning was 10bpm higher than yesterday for both average and max.

Does it go away by itself?

Is your Max HR higher at higher altitudes as down here in Durbs my Max HR so far was round about 184bpm and that was doing the Geohegan.
