Blondie's Rapture. Sniff something to appreciate the lyrics:

....

And you get in your car and you drive real far

And you drive all night and then you see a light

And it comes right down and lands on the ground

And out comes a man from Mars

And you try to run but he's got a gun

And he shoots you dead and he eats your head

And then you're in the man from Mars

You go out at night, eatin' cars

You eat Cadillacs, Lincolns too

Mercuries and Subarus

And you don't stop, you keep on eatin' cars

Then, when there's no more cars

You go out at night and eat up bars where the people meet

had this old gem on repeat this whole week. one of my top 5 albums

Animal nuzzles up to my shoulder.

Sweats and grunts and pushes me over.

With its musty mane in my eyes

I'm closed off and protected.

Inside sleep together,

Sleep within sleep,

It's everywhere.

I'm safe, safe with the head of the animal.

Breath on my breath,

There's nothing else.

Gone, world, gone.

When we wake in all our red rooms,

Next to pillows that scream "alone",

And we're shaking uncompleted,

Aching for this creeping sleep

On which to ride away.

Sleep is the animal whose name is safety,

Whose name is angel's wings,

Whose name is never will it happen to me,

Whose arms are the longest the world will ever see,

Whose voice is Jesus saying "Innocence is the child",

Whose breath is warmth and the scent of safety and the taste of purity.

Animal flies me in a hollow in its belly.

Until the world's gone.

Inside a world inside a world

Inside a world without end.

thats an excellent song. Sioux was a cuty.

She was so sexy back then

As well as Patricia for Sisters.

Was reading an interview with her the other day. She's still out there, making new music, touring, awesome.

Another one I came across the other day, is Kristin Hersh from the Throwing Muses. Give her a hard time on twitter. She's awesome though, writing books now, and raising her kids. It's so weird, these artists I idolised, and she's like only a few years older than me, and going through the same **** we all do.

I'm really enjoying Mix FM, particularly in the morning traffic. Last week they played "Dancing with tears in my eyes", " Big Log" By Robert Plant and the full version of "Stairway to Heaven" .Talk about not being dictated to by the record companies.. It seems like they won best breakfast show at the MTN radio awards.... I wonder if the other big guys saw that coming...

All the best stuff is from Midrand
