The Guy in Pink Posted January 7, 2007 Share I wore my HRM while donating blood about 2 years back. My heart decided I was bleeding to death and began shutting down the system. It got to about 30BPM.

cat-i Posted January 7, 2007 Share More training CVANC! Noooooo not sure if resting heart rate is an indication of fitness ... or the only indication, or any indication at all? maybe there's someone out there who can explain the science behind heart rates? what's the maximum you've recorded, CvanC? cat-i Posted January 7, 2007 Share this is one guy's opinion: http://www.drmirkin.com/archive/6941.html sure there will be 1000 of websites to contradict him, though

Hype Posted January 8, 2007 Share I read somewhere that 28 is around average for olympic athletes. Sebastian Coe and Indurain had resting rates of 28.
Jean-Jay Posted January 8, 2007 Share I read somewhere that 28 is around average for olympic athletes. Sebastian Coe and Indurain had resting rates of 28. Confirmed! Miguel Indurain did have a resting HR OF 28bpm. Put that into perspective ..... so the reality of this can sink in... count 2 seconds (wait for the 2 seconds to pass and his Heart will only beat once!!!! INSANE!!!!! slowpoke Posted January 8, 2007 Share lowest recorded... by the medic in swaziland back in 2004 was 28, and BP was equally insane... i've stopped measuring under "normal conditions" since my 'shova crash - i'd been around 54 and then since the accident only measured twice... both times around 64 so wayyyyy too high still. (early 2004 i'd got it down to 46 from the february until the april - 3 months of a decent low rhr)
AndreZA Posted January 8, 2007 Share When my hr was 42 and went for an orthroscopy the nurse thought her tools were defective untill I told her I cycled.
MWdeJager Posted January 8, 2007 Share freaks haha...and what might yours be??? way to much to mention 68 CvanC jok soos 'n tannetrekker. Jy moet jou resting HR toets wanneer jy opstaan in die oggend voor jy te exited raak oor iets jou NAR. PS: Chris, dit beteken onder andere - jy kannie vir Nellie vra om dit te meet nie
