And what lube do you use for the chain ? Somebody told me that you can use parafien to clean the chain and casket. Will this do ? Thanks narra
Canaris Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 1. light detergent (not abbrasive stuff light handy andy, vim or sunlight dishwashing liquid) 2. Parafin or diesel or clean green 3. White lightning or dry lub. All this stuff is avilable at the LBS

KlapperKnop Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 I find Prepsol (degreaser) to work well on ALU frames. Spray it on even the cluster. Then rinse it of with water ... low pressure tho.

bikemonster Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 If anybody has watched "Hell on Wheels" (following T-Mobile/Telekom) or "Overcoming" (following CSC) in the 2003 TdF you will see the bike mechanics washing bikes with a very high pressure jet. Just like everybody says you're not supposed to.
