Red Zone Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Barloworld were featured on the news this morning, riding along Marine Drive. One of the riders was riding without his helmet, not a great message for safe cycling. Particularly with all of the unfortunate incidents on our roads recently.

I rode back after sunday's mtb argus. two Rapha Condor riders came past doing a easy ride going through piniel with out helmets and riding next to each other with busses and taxis passing them.... Anyway, don't you think it's nice that MOST of the guys were riding with helmets? I think we need to applaud them

NotSoBigBen Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 I have said before but got lambasted that we are talking about adults here that have made an informed decision not to ride with a helmet despite what we all may say. It's a risk that they are prepared to take and be it on their 'head' what happens to their families etc. when they do have a big fall on the pip! They probably don't wear seatbelts either ..... But it is a whole different kettle of fish were it a youngster ......... then I think a swift smack to the back of the pip is on!
