The dry lube isnt cheap but its a wax and oil formula that works well for me, its just the right consistency to stay on the chain but still penetrate the links where the lube is needed. ? The Motorex dry lube is great. I put Squirt on my chain the other day, but I haven't ridden it yet, so I can't give a report. However, I noticed that when I was applying the Squirt, it did not penetrate the links. It just sat on top of the chain. I actually had to use my hands to try force the Squirt into the links, without much success, so I have my reservations already...

PS: I only buy my Swiss lube from a retailer that engages in price fixing. Hence a large portion of the sale price goes straight into the SA economy.

Roders Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Forget everything else, I have tried them all, even had an oil company try and develop a specialist lube for me.Go to your local hardware and ask for Spanjaard chain & linkage spray or Spanjaard liquid grease.Spray it on and leave for a minute or two then wipe clean. On a road bike you can do 500km's before re-lubing and your chain stays shiny clean.I do +- 15000km's a year, after 5 years my cassette's are still good and I put a new chain once a year as a matter of coarse. (I also have no vested interest i Spanjaard)
