What utter rubbish. First of all it appears as if the various dealers have colluded to send out exactly the same sort of denial, as I received the same thing from cyclelab, saying exactly the same. What  I want to know is, since when do competitors get together to help each other? What is more, if this was an "open forum" to benefit all in the industry, including, customers, why weren't any customers invited?

Methinks there is something extremely fishy in the state of cycling in South Africa!

What an excellent point. It would make more sense to use this opportunity to burn your competition - that's what I would do.

The only explanation must be that they're telling the truth then. Glad we got this sorted!

Shocked

I know... It's the same as when you find out one or two of the pro riders dope. I'm shocked. At least it's the same as doping though, only one or two of them are doing it.

I wonder what effect an immunity from prosecution will have on one or two of the smaller LBS at the meeting.

It would be a kinda win - win situation for them. Evil%20Smile

if wholesalers get taken down then it will be a lose - lose situation. No one will stock that store ever again.

did they say that they wanted to level the playing field re prices and that service was the deciding factor where shops make money? If that was the case then FP would not last very long because their service is shocking.

That reminds me, I still need to wage war against my uninvited guests. Wonder if my napalm order has been delivered to the post office yet...

What you need is the "Improvised Explosives Hand Book". If I remember correctly a Napalm substitute can be made by dissolving styrofoam (yes meat packing tray material) in petrol until the solution is completely saturated (ie - it won't disolve anymore).
