Most votes takes it.

I have (for some time) been planning to get a hub ride / day get together at Karee Kloof.

Please vote for the most suitable option for you and your family / fan club / BF / GF.

Hi Slave,

After all the postings in the other thread, I really thought there would be more votes here. Another "funny" is that there are 8 votes for the location and only  6 votes for the date.

cos at first glance, it looks like you can choose only one of the four. then, when reading your post, i saw i could vote again. and again.

Please take safety into account as well when voting. On the previous hub road rides in Pta and Midrand we had Thinkbike marshalls and metro cops (santa ride) as well as lead and sweep vehicles; not to mention Slowpoke's choc cake. When you have a hub ride with a 100 odd (literally?) cyclists pitching it goes beyond just rocking up somewhere and pedalling

If we do the nature reserve, then safety is a non issue. Very low volume of traffic and it is easier to break up into smallish groups.

SBR has facilities for both road and MTB. Seems to be the ideal location with Karee Kloof right next door to have a braai and a beer / whisky / wine / cup of tea after the event.

Racer, the hills in the reserve are far more interseting than the steps, promise.

Sorry Wolfie but I fail to see the connection between Slowpoke's chocolate cake and safety. Wink

(Unless if you eat enough it slows you down to a safe speed)

 LOL

Astute observation Mr Jones.

More relevant to prove the point that there is more than a little bit of a logistics issue involved

As the voting goes, the Wld West is the more popular choice.

I do not know my way around the west well enough to organise a route or the safety aspects. Who can do this?

As for dates, tie between the two dates. Can some vote to break the deadlock. (preferably someone who hasn't voted before.)

I will have my 'patrol' vehicle which I can use as a lead vehicle.

Slowpoke, could you help with a few marshalls for which I will foot the bill?

mallo, could we use your trailer as a rear or sweep vehicle? could you also recommend a safe & wide route at the wild west?

between Slowpoke, mallo & myself, we will coordinate the safety issues as well as a safe route to use.
