Frosty Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 My time difference was 5 minutes... not complaining, because I still probably would have been in the same position. I was forced to stop 1m short of the line as there was no space - seems everyone had to queue for their medal and have their number removed. For me it wasn't about doing a 3:09 (my timing) or 3:14 (their timing), it was rather spending 3+ hours in the saddle, after having a 6 week (pre planned) break from racing/riding.

crasher Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I collected 3 entries on Friday we all got bottles snacks gel/goo one other additive? nice cyclenewspaper etc and 3 not 2 cable ties ? pamphlets My official time was within 50 seconds of my personal comp time so cant complain there Rather swopped my goodie bag to have that wind as a tail wind for the race

As for the timing system its very primitive for the level of race we participated in. Even a ?small? race at Babbas lodge SS Timing is there. So I can not see why in this day and age we have to rely on a tannie with a stopwatch for timing. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
