I think many can afford tubbies but the move towards clinchers has been mainly because the weight has come down. Years ago the tubbies were much lighter compared to clinchers than they are now. Don't want to start yet another tubbies vs clinchers thread but I don't think I'll move to tubbies - the price is prohibitive but mostly it's the fear of what the heck I would do if I got a puncture. Can any tubby riders give some info on how you "change" a puncture and how long it takes and if it's more hassle than changing a clincher.  Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
