I just started with this vintage Hansom build:

So far it has matching Shimano 600 tri-colour brake calipers and levers, Dura-Ace headset, SR Sakae bars and Sugino seat post bolt.

That headset is awesome.

Hi, all

Anyone have any info on a bicycle named "Gemini"?

I purchased the frame with an old style unthreaded 1" Time carbon fork.

The info I have manage to gather places it as an Australian/New Zealand marque, and they no longer make frames.

It had an 853 sticker on it, but was not covered in clearcoat, so perhaps a giveaway that it was put on afterward.

It has lugwork arund the BB and headtube, but seems to be fillet-brazed at the seat-tube.

Dropouts are Columbus, so I assumed that there would probably not be Reynolds Tubing with Columbus dropouts, although this is not impossible.

I may be refurbishing it at some stage, so need info to get proper declas etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Chro Mo

I have 2 GEMINI frames, one road and one track. The track frame is very similar to yours. Both frames have decals stating:

HANDCRAFTED BY DUNCAN MACINTYRE

What do you think of this? It's my reliable chromoly Cosmos road bike with 9 speed Shimano 105/Tiagra.

Don't know anything about the frame, please let us know if you do.

Thanks Mate, that brings back fantastic memories

My Rudy Helmet. You wear it with the peak facing backwards.

Now, wearing that while riding an old school fixie will make you the cats' whiskers!

Anyone have any idea what the value of a Vitus 979 Dural with Shimano 600 Tricolor, Mavic MA40's, Nitto stem and 3TTT bars would be? I know of one for sale, ok condition, would make a nice resto project.

Edit spelling

Hi Hubers

Help please, is anyone able to identify the manufacturer and period this seat stem is from? It's a quill style stem and came off an old Vitus.

SAKAE, I think.

I've seen it before...I'll dig through my parts bin- it's in there somewhere...
