Ok let me first express my serious lack of knowledge - I saw a bike very similar to this earlier this year - similar period similar detail. - sent a photo to a mate who collects - it was a Frejus - I managed to get a rough idea of age from the serial number but I spent hours googling - wish I knew more and I could be miles off here

Joh, I almost thought you got it........because I found a very similar looking picture of a Frejus, but the details are different. Good try though.

Giving my "old faithful" some much needed love. Her chrome was picking up some rust spots (as old classics tend to do when hanging in a dusty garage) so I pulled her down last night and spent some time on her with a tube of Autosol and elbow grease... and fixed a puncture

Was planning on taking her for a spin early this morning then overslept

I'll post an updated pic of her in the daylight tomorrow.

Here's a few updated pics of my Bianchi. Still sporting it's original 8 speed Dura Ace groupset that I built it up with 22 years ago (it was cheaper than Campag at the time). Built with Columbus EL tubing which is super thin. ITM Super Italia Pro-2 bar and quill stem. The saddle isn't period however (Gobi).

Nowadays it only gets ridden a handful of times a year, one of those is on the annual 100km pilgrimage around the Cape peninsula in March. Still the best bike I've ever owned to do 100kay rides on, it's super comfortable.

Beautiful bike. Bianchi next to Colnago will always be my favourite of the classics. [emoji106]
