Attempt Eden with a Anthem Anything then on a Shova, or try Paarl on a Trance and then on a Mbuzi or Nomad or Bullit and then tell me it's not about the bike! Yeah, if you're not a good rider you'll pretty much be not good on any bike, but once you get going the bike plays a big part. The best FR rider with killer chops might not be able to finish a local fun ride, but he can rip trails and jumps bigger than the XC okes bike budget. There is no definitive "best" anything. I would hopeIf we could all afford the best bike - we would all have the same...bikeSo in my HO - you buy what you can afford, and then make it " bling"to your taste .....and as good as you can without going bankrupt..
