Ok so we talked about cleaning bikes and chains. No for something different

 

Any tips on cleaning your muddy mtb shoes very easily? Do you put it in the dishwasher, zink, laundromat or what is your secret in cleaning your shoes?

I have only recently started cleaning MTB shoes but use the same method I used on MX boots years back.Bucket and water with scrubbing brush.Leave out for a day to dry.

I don't put them in the washing machine after I saw what happened to someone's Sidi's after six months of doing it. They lost their bling and the stitching started coming loose. Must be the prolonged exposure to he detergent. Sunlight and a scrubbing brush works for me. Just rinse well.

Take them into the shower with you. Hot water, scrub yourself and them.

 

Make sure all the large gunk chunks are removed beforehand, otherwise the rest of the family will think you are a filth pig! 

 

Leave to dry in sun!

I also put mine in the washing machine. Mine don't have any bling bits though. Have been washing my mtb shoes in this manner for many years and it doesn't seem to cause any issues.

do you let it sun dry or do you put it in the tumble dryer?

I pull the inner soles out and let them dry on their own. They dry overnight.

I spray mine with the pressure washer when i'm cleaning my bike.

I hose it down,then scrub with omo/maq maq/surf (thats up to you) then let it sun dry

I found the gym spinning bikes good for removing the excess dried mud

When riding in the mud, take a large old sock and cut a hole in the sock where the cleat is in the shoe then the shoe will not get much mud on them so less cleaning is needed...
