Just because you go up a mountain does not make it mountain biking. That is just off-road biking. "Mountain biking" is what you do with 120mm+ suspension bikes down a mountain.

That is awesome...looks a bit muddy.

The great thing about this sport is that it is so many different things to so many different people. You can ride the same trail as a multi millionaire on a bike that is a 10th of the value of his. You can get to see the most amazing places in this country of ours. You can struggle for an hour to get to the top of a hill only to turn around and spend 10mins racing down it...or stop at the top and enjoy the view.

I love it!
