So....who had the flu?

Monday pal, wait for Monday...

Geluk aan al die manne wat sulke goeie tye gery het. Ek wonder maar net of julle dit sou kon doen as julle die Argus moes ry tydens Tampax-tyd, soos baie damesfietsryers moet doen!

I squeezed every bit of my stamina towards a 3h15.

My Polar shows 3:41!

Damn' date=' that Cape Doctor is a crazy one.[/quote']

Stuck with front of D bunch until 3/4 up Smits, and then noticed that we were about 20min behind split for sub 3 (as if that would have happened today) Took it slower (a lot slower) from there. Did not overextend myself at all, taking HR to about 70% of max up Chappies and Suikerbossie.

Still ended with about 3:43 on my Polar.

so i guess my argus mountain bike record still stands - we did finish on top of that camps bay hill in '91 however, so i'll add a few minutes to my 2h38, or just one, so i'll still beat LA

Yup! I had the flu last week after the 55km MTB challenge on Sunday.

Flu?

Pah! A cold more like.

I had leprosy, BSE, tennis elbow, housemaid's knee and one of my legs fell off on the first part of Boyes Drive. Fortunately it grew back just in time for Smits. Lucky also that I'd had the presence of mind to save the cycling shoe.

Also did my first Argus today. Was aiming for under 5h chain came off twice and the wind was terrible. Polar shows a 5h20min.
