A young cyclist from Pietermaritzburg was on a training ride on Friday and unfortunately was involved in a accident  and passed away on Saturday morning.

The youngster Ryan was part of the Burg Wheelers Cycling Club.

If any of you rode SA's he is the youngster who crashed and broke his arm.

How many accidents like this must happen before authorities get their act together and create an environment were both cyclists and motorists can live (ride) in peace and harmony. The time has come that cycling lanes be provided on all major cycling routes.
