Dude. Stop bitching about cyclist on a cycling forum. You get nowhere!

Secondly.....if stupidity or inconsideration makes you a candidate to get mowed down in an accident, 90% of all MOTORISTS will be dead and my heart will pump chocolates!!!! B)

Just this morning on my commute I saw 56 cars speeding, 3 buses skipping red lights, 24 people talking of phones, 12 unroadworthy taxis and countless other law breaking motorists.

Irresponsible cyclists.....they ride a 10kg bike, only endangering themselves......an irresponsible motorist drives a 2 ton piece of steel endangering himself and at least 5 other people around him....

So take them bitchin' and go post on a motoring site!!!!!!!!

You have always got something stupid to say about motorists

Roads are there for motorists! Therefore it works like this:

The basic `food-chain` on the road is;

1)Trucks & Busses

2)Cars

3)Motorbikes

4)Cyclists

Cyclists are number 4, which means you have to give way and respect the rest of the list!! It`s not that hard to understand!

PS: There is nothing around you when you ride a bike compared to a car.

True......but I don't want to kill them......mabe just hurt them a little..... ;)

I trust this was said in jest...if not, this just proves the stunning SA, bloukoei, 4x4/BMW, biltong vretende, FAT attitude of South African motorist.......

So taking this serious.....on a Friday.....I will not want to be you having to go tell one of those cyclist's little 3 year old daughter that you killed her dad because he was stupid and you were speeding (Not being able to stop in time doing 60 in a built area-driver pulling out) or that you were impatient and could not wait 30 seconds longer........sorry girl....you will never play again with your dad....he was stupid.

Sure dude.....

I have been thinking this morning.....doesn't happen often.....the bus trying to kill me while I was cycling in the yellow lane made me start thinking.....

Why do we as humans always want a CULPRIT......WHO IS QUILTY? WHO'S FAULT IS IT? blah blah blah....Tiepies (*%$(%*$)(^ VROUMENS crap!!!!

I don't want to know who was at fault.....and as Squier rightly points out, the cyclist always gets off second best......

So if Impala and Wildebeest and monkeys can protect their own no matter how stupid they act.....getting to close to the lion.....playing with snakes....they always stand up as a 'herd'.

And THAT IS WHAT GRINDS MY ASS about these COUNTLESS USELESS threads on the hub about bitching and moaning about cyclist........

You are a roadie......cyclist....yes, they are as dumb as a piece of rock not obeying the road rules.....relax.....put the car in second gear and wind down the windows blasting some thumping tunes....the cyclist will then be protected from idiot motorist and have some noise in their ears.....

Or something like that.

Again.....what they did was wrong....hell....I saw 86 infringements again from motorists on my commute this morning.......wrong is wrong.

Moaning on the Hub.....does not help NOTHING!!!

"hond vreet hond" is the old saying......unable to protect our own specie....even if the specie is dumb.

Rule of nature.....if that animal stays dumb and does not EVENTUALLY learn from his mistakes, he will get taken out.

So let nature takes it course......in the mean time try and be patient with the 'dumb/idiots/law breaking' fellow specie......they might just learn from you one day...

Not yet, but I am getting there....... B)

I think you need to get everyone together as a `HERD` and go complain to the government about all the accidents and the way motorists are driving? What was that? you wont get anywhere with the government, well done. That`s because they don`t care about cyclists. Everybody needs to stop talking and complaining about accidents on the road because at the end of the day these cyclists choose to ride with `stupid` motorists!

David16v, I fail to understand your post?

Spidy is saying that people like to moan bout cyclist, but they dont do anything about the rest of the road users?

You saying that we will not get anywhere with the goverment, Spidy is saying that you will not get anywhere with the HUB, same point

Are we getting personal again? Good argument gone South.....AGAIN??? Surely not on the Hub?

Why not contribute?

While we are on that topic.........Pigspotter mentioned me?......nice....did the mention your mother being there too?

OK.

Door. Keep the hat.

Ag sorrie, I never thought implying in jest that you are a Metro cop was classified as getting personal. I will forgive you your implications about my mother as you could not possibly know of her battles in this world.

My contribution? Ride your bike like every other road user is an incompetent idiot.

Happy? Nice weekend.

To the 2% of SAs cyclist reading this... Well done, keep up the good behaviour and see you at the next race.

To the 98%... Oh well, no use writing it here.

Cars are hard. Bodies not so hard. Get a MTB and stay out of each other's way.

Spinnekop is very entertaining and passionate. Love your passion dude. Trust you cycle that way too.

THis is at ASH

I am the chairman of ESMERO cycling and we have been riding there for over a year now....

If you do have a problem could we meet next week and Tueday where we ride and discuss the issue or the problem so that I can iron out the ones thats doing it.

I will meet you there at 5pm Sharp OK

Thanks

Esmero Chairman

Hopefully this is not a veiled threat and you guys can sort out the problem amicably so everyone is happy again!!

Attached is a pic of what probably winds law abiding riders/people up, I took this about two months ago on the way to Westgate, it was a Sunday morning and the two tjops going across the road (on a red light) were almost knocked over. The 'leader' (I am assuming he was the leader) of this group saw me take the pic and was on his way over to me in my car and it looked as though he wanted to have a go with me. Luckily I look a bit rough and dodgy (especially on a Sunday morning!) so I think he opted not too and turned around but I personally feel that you need to take pics of these idiots and share it on the hub, maybe the riders will feel a bit daft and learn from their mistakes.

He is saying that people moan about cyclists

He is blaming motorists.

I am saying if everyone is unhappy then stand up and talk about it (not on the hub - not going to help)

The motorist will always be at fault on a cycling forum??? Do you think the hubbers are gonna say it`s there fault?????

The main point is that you guys choose to ride on the road so deal with the motorists!

I am not refering to the drunk ones &/or illegal motorists. I am talking about the ordinary motorist, like myself who comes across many cyclists everyday and probably about 60% of them abide by the rules, they others don`t give a f%^k!

It`s these 40% you need to have a stern talking to by non-cyclists or yourselves (as a group).

BTW Trubie my post by no means only implicate roadies with this type of behaviour, Im sure the same happens for both disciplines. My post only relates to my experiance in the area that I live.

Same applies for roadies, MTB, commuters and 3 year olds with training wheels.

Covie - no sweat , I was refering to Crack's comment, not yours.....

That is the single STUPIDITY of all motorist that pisses me off to no end.

Roads are NOT for motorist only. The law states it is there for Road USERS.....please EDUCATE yourself before posting stupid comments!!!!!!

Not hard to understand yes.....food chain.....no armor....wait wait wait....GIVE WAY? WHAT? SAY WHAAAAT?????????????

Nope my uneducated Hubber....the law CLEARLY STATES the MOTORIST have to GIVE way....1.5m away to be precise.

The laws of survival dictates in this matter, giving one a sense of FEAR for motorists and thus fearing for your life you as a cyclist gives way......as for the law.....FAR FROM IT.

So in theory......for my....personally....I ride attacking on the road rather than defensive. Works thus far...... B)

And I am NOT giving way to motorist unless I see that there is a clear and present danger to my life in any certain cenario.

If no danger.....you....motorist......can take that 5 minutes you now have extra waiting to pass my sexy ass on my bike and go SCREW YOURSELF!

I almost hit a cyclist on Beyers past the Krugersdorp highway going towards Muldersdrift. There is a part of that road where recently road works have taken place, and the road is exceptionally narrow, yet they choose to ride 3, sometimes 4 abreast. Last weekend I was driving past them, and being a cyclist myself I gave plenty of room, yet one of them (female I think) swerved out and had I not been giving such a large berth, she would have hit me at such a pace that we both could have landed up dead.

I choose to not ride on the roads due to the traffic, but the attitude of road cyclists does the community no favours. Had she hit my car I would have been at fault? I think not.

And yes I am new to the forum and was alerted to this thread by a friend.

Off to go ride my bike!

Cheers pansies! Be safe! Remember....motorist are EVIL! They own the road.

Can't wait for the fuel price to hit R50 a liter!!! :D

Ya, then all the people who say live in the Northern Suburbs will have to cycle to work maybe in Town, or Southern Suburbs. Can see that working
