Made some changes before the Lido race yesterday, replaced the old RaceFace crank/blade with a new Deore crank and FSA 32t blade (helps to have a son in law that owns a bike shop ;) ). Also put some wider bars with a slightly higher rise on ....

Got some new white SPD pedals that I need to fit.

5 PSI lower FR & BK was too much although more comfortable, got a puncture in the front but quickly sorted! Will just go 2 PSI lower this weekend and see how it is!

Thanks man! I have never weighed any of my bikes but will make an exception for you ;) - ok so how to go about it .... I don't have a fishing scale or anything to hang it from, can you do it wth a 'bathroom scale' somehow?

Check max weight capacity of bathroom scale... Pick up bike, step onto scale, check weight. Step off, put bike down, step back onto scale, check weight. Weight check 1 minus weight check 2 equals weight of bike... Not as accurate as a fish scale or similar, but close enough.

Nice Ben. Is it a 26er as I can't see the small writing on the top tjoop?... Weight does not seem bad at all. You've done a nice job of colour coding there. Ask Justin for a matching white WCS stem for Father in laws day coming up....

OK did the bathroom scale weigh in .... 9.6kg's - a bit of a porker I guess?

9.6kg's is not that bad, I must put mine on the scale sometime, would surprise me if it's much under 12... Nice build!

Nothing porky about 9.6kg. My farmgate weighs in at around 12kgs

Bought this in 1990 - been stolen and recovered twice, and hung on the ceiling for about 10 years in a shocking state - then stripped it down, sandblasted it, resprayed it and put it back together late 2010 - good for the occasional lunchtime ride from work.

Picture is pre cables, don't have any of it completely finished.

It was a Schwinn Sierra - Now it's a Schwinn Sierra 'Single'

I cut off all the 'spare' braze on's etc, so it's never going back to having gears.
