Anybody know a source for bicycle baby seats and which ones are recommended? When is a child old enough to be on the bike safely?

Giant make a sturdy plastic seat, with foam rubber cushioning, which worked well for son of bikemonster.

The child is old enough when they are aware enough to enjoy the ride and can hold onto the t-bar handle bar thingie - somewhere around 18 months is prolly a good start.

Now I have to get a dog and a kid.... Man... Where will it end? What next... Walking with your grandmother so the chicks can see that you will care for her at old age, and not swop her for a 25 year old DD

Yeah hot women come over to coo and kaaa about your gorgious kiddy and then flatly rejects you the male as damaged goods. Theres something wrong with this theory.

My wife used to travel a lot when my son was young. I used to meet up with my mate for coffee on a Saturday morning at the Brazilian in Eastgate. My mate could could never believe how many woman would come up to us and talk, until one wimmin said... You must be a proud couple.... That's not cool or sexy man...

Thats exactly what i am saying curly, those women that ooogle at the sight with a man having fun with his child, oogle at the concept of a caring fatherly figure, they dont want that actual person they see with his child they just wish they can have the same type of man.

So whats (as you say) wrong with that theory?

I suspect you have much to learn about how this stuff acshly works. Nothing signals your desirability as clearly as the fact that another person finds you desirable.

i've seen this in action. several years back a friend of mine simply started dating the first girl that would actually date him (it wasn't easy for him, you see) in order to, as he said, "pick up chicks". we all thought he was a total ponce until he rocked up at some party with (someone else's!) hot blonde girlfriend. scary creepy...

Yeah the hound theory definitely works, used a mate's 10 month old Beagle to good babe magnetism effect  ..... Hey I house sitted for them and she (the dog not the babe) chowed my toothbrush. My good one at that.

So a bit of compensation was in order ^_^

I must admit I was starting to worry about you a bit when you got very, er, anal about colour coding your bike…
