My new GX 1x11 Gripshift is faulty and the alu cover is loose; as I bought it on e bay 9new), Cape Cyle Systems wont do a warranty replacement....that sucks!

There's not a lot of companies that do global warranty replacements, so this isn't all that surprising.

Actually it doesn't suck as eBay is not a shop nor an approved sram distributor. If you had nought it off an approved sram distributor then ccs may have helped you out. Sram makes those rules not ccs.

And are you surprised?

You can't expect a local company to warranty something at their expense if you bought it overseas. It is not part of their mandate and responsibilities.

This expectation of global warrantee thing pisses me off. So you buy cheaper overseas then expect the local guys to cover the costs of helping you even thought they made zero profit off the deal? That's a little "win-win for me and screw you"...
