Few days back

"MTB wanted for girlfriend"

Broke all records for PM's received.

Bet there were no pics of the chicken. This un-moderated hub is pathetic when it comes to upholding standards

Well at my last fitness test I weighed 74kg's. This gave me a BMI of about 20 and that's fine if you are an athlete.

And I quote:

If your BMI is below 20:

This indicates a lean BMI, which means you have a low amount of body fat. If you are an athlete, this can be desirable. If you are not an athlete, a lean BMI can indicate that your weight may be too low which may lower your immunity. If your BMI and body weight are low, you should consider gaining weight through good diet and exercise habits, to increase your muscle mass. If your BMI is between 20 and 22:

This indicates the ideal, healthy amount of body fat, which is associated with living longest, and the lowest incidence of serious illness. Coincidentally, it seems this ratio is what many individuals perceive to be the most aesthetically attractive.

See and I'm attractive according to above :D

23 and some change for me..."normal" man I hate being called normal....

I have been riding just my SS since mid December, and before that I did maybe 3 geared bike rides, now to hold thumbs :)

Great thread, Riders...

From what I know:

1. Lose extra weight.

2. Train over hilly courses and even do some repeats.

3. Believe in your ability and potential ability.

Good luck, man.

Weight is the major part of your solution. I am 1.93m, was 108kg 15mnths ago, now 87kg.... focus on nutrition, keep the pedals turning consistently and you will float up climbs.

How did you get to 87?! I am teetering at 95, same spec for weight and similar height - I started at 108Kg's too. Lost it gradually since last year november..... so what is your secret to weight loss?
