SRAM is the business!!! Thanks for the deal Scultura!

Yes Red is more crisp (but only slightly). The big $$$$ difference is in the metal parts. Force uses alloy where Red uses Titanium - big $$$$$ but essentially the rest is all the same :)

The hoods are so comfy on SRAM! The feel is what can only be described as loving making for the hands!!!

PS... The bike looks SIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK!!!!

Great job dude :)

Very sexy ride you've got there SR! I also converted from Shimano (Ultegra) to Sram, but got the Red to match my S-Works, and must admit that I am thrilled by the performance and crispness! Never used Force, so I am in no position to compare, but all I know is that Sram rocks. I still use XTR/XT mix on my mtb and have absolutely no complaints at all.

Atraut, your Spez is probably one of the best looking bikes I have seen in a while, i am SO jealous. The Matt Black is SUPER sexy. You have got a fantastic build and it myst fly with the Red...

You know, within a pretty tight budget, I dont think ANYTHING can compare to the Force, for a Rand to Rand value. I think for sure, the best bang for a buck!

Enjoy your new ride.

YOu kidding me, even more precise? WOW, cause I cant believe how precise the Force Group is. It is an absolute revelation against the likes of Ultegra.

Pic attached, she is looking pretty "spanking"

Aitsa!

That RED is drooling for Sram RED... :P

S R - Sram Force - value for your moola x 100!!

Thanx for the kind compliment SR, but be advised that I still own my Scultura (and a 96 Team) and still regard the Merida's as awesome bikes. Enjoy your Sram experience, cause I know I am!

No honestly urbanroyal, I am in a state of utter disbelief. It REALLY is that good. Easy to use, 1 small finger movement and its crisp into the next gear. Quiet!!!!!! I cant believe I waited so long to move, now I just want to get back on my bike and RIDE :D

Dude this is seriously making me think now Shimano vs Sram

Hey Tjommies2, How you doing buddy. Are you riding this weekend? Took your advice and went for the 11-25 (Thanks). You just upgraded to the Dura Ace though, that must be damn fine....

I honestly dont see myself going back to Shimano though, not now. Maybe if I have a massive "mis-shift" up Vissershok in the 99'er I might change my mind.....

I just did an upgrade from DA7800 to the DA7900

The 7900 feels softer than the 7800 but the 7800 was also very precise and very "soft"

I love the Shimano feel and dont think I will move. Have heard mixed reviews from some people that have gone the Sram route, I guess it comes down to personal preferance.

Must say that SRAM is definitely bank for you buck, and it weighs in lighter as well.

I also made the transition from Dura to Force and I am loving it....easy to use...nice and precise...fantastic....

I suppose ignorance is bliss....My Merida has Sora, but it does seem to be very accurate, perhaps it is just well aligned. My MTB does have SRAM though, and yes, I do get a sense of very solid changes without fuss

When the Sora is due for change I will definitely keep your experience in mind Mr Scultura. Thanks
