Toney Impey Cycles, is good and knowledgeable. Toney still cycles. and they are friendly. I can't say how the price comparisons are like! but at Cajees in Parkmeadows you can negotiate! ask them is this the Cajees price

I'm generalizing but i would only go to cajees if i was not a nubee and knew exactly what i wanted and the cost.

For good advice and decent pricing I'd recommend Linden.

Cajees... I'd only go there if you know exactly what you need, what it's actually worth and if you've got time to haggle. Then you might get it cheaper. If you go in there un-prepped they'll try sell you no name brand tyre liners for R195 a set (Retail should be around R75 - R90)

I agree with that, They will sell anything to you, just to get a sale

Then the only one I can recommend is Tour de Frans cycles in Boksburg, or Toney Impey cycles(though I got RIPPED OF THERE!)

A female friend got ripped off at TDF. Sold her a high end bike, so they knew that she would race and didn't even bother to set her up properly. She's wasn't happy camper. Found another high end shop down the road which provides a much better service.

Must agree with Linden Cycles.

No bike shop should rip anyone off!

Fritz Pienaar Cycles Paulshof!

The alleged price fixing alleged instigator was allegedly trying to rip us all off.

+1

Im looking around at options at the moment and walked into Cajees in Park Meadows end of last year, as per cajees protocol harass you as soon as you walk in the door. So I said to the guy Im looking at the moment, weighing up options but I like the Anthem 29er... so we walk over to one and and the first thing he's on is a good deal he can give me, runs over to the till, hurries back and tells me he can do for R26k but I must take it now coz there is no stock coming till March 2011. The guy was so pushy for the sale and in my face and barely knew anything trying to push this XL anthem on me. I want to ride the bike not hang over the top tube...

Needless to say I politely left and havent been back since, also not forgetting I had been caught by them years before with the 1st bike I ever bought, I chose a giant Alias 18" and collected it later that day only a couple months later I was looking at the bike and saw that it had grown somewhat and become a 21"

In my opinion Linden Cycles wins hands down. I don't think Jonene would know how to rip someone off. She'll probably even throw some extra stuff in for free, just because she loves the sport so much.
