Net toe ek my OFM akkommodasie finaal gereel het

I must admit that skipping a red light after almost stopping and looking several times very early in the morning is far less an offense than skipping all at any time, because it would not be a training ride otherwise.

I skip one regularly, because there are no cars anywhere in the early morning and the robot reacts only on a car standing on a loop embedded in the road. Otherwise it will never get green for me. Maybe I should buy a heavy steel bike for it to work Cry

Glad that the thread gets more support than flak (Spelling? me English not mother tongue).

It is in the Classifieds, because that is the only category I read and know Wink

What does that mean in English or German please? Ups, now I gave it away where I am from.

Widget, all causes of road rage you mentioned is true.  I also think that sitting in traffic for hours on end really drives people insane.  Since moving closer to work I've found that my rage has died down substantially.

While on the topic, did anyone hear the discussion on 702 this morning about cycling lanes?  John Robbie said that the CSA should do something about it and got a flood of sms' about the non-performance of the CSA.

Show me one cyclist who has not jumped a red light or rolled through a stop street and I will burn my bike and take up netball.

I don't know any, same as I cannot see many seat belts used, which also claims a lot of lives due to negligence. Hell not even the traffic cops are using them. I never understand what the problem is to use the belt.  They all scream TOO MANY ROAD DEATHS, but nobody looks why.

I think you all got my drift that skipping red lights on purpose in full view of other motorists is no good- the rest is debatable.

ahhh, my favourite topic... as to all those who jump lights or otherwise ignore the rules of the road if there are ANY witnesses, take this as YOUR "friendly uitk@k sessie" (ask anyone who has ridden with me for further details of the well-known speech!) Wink

friendly uitk@k sessie

Hm, would love to hear it.

Maybe we can extend this thread to littering while on the bike. So stupid and unnecessary too. Never seen a maid cycling after the person who litters.

They don't need to while executing their duties (that's according to them.  After the question I was put through all types off hell!!!)

RS, there we agree.  If you REALLY want to peeve me off, just throw down your garbage.  I've spoken to some guys in a bunch and the answer, "F*(&^ OFF, I'll do what I want".  And to those that're going to say that gel wrappers make you kit sticky, ja right.  I wash my own kit, and it's VERY easy to get it out.

May they don't need to, maybe they need to. It just makes them die sooner by their own choice as they are the ones which usually have these handy blue lights and drive like hell - so high risk.

Actually said more tongue in cheek (sp?).  But that was said to me, and also that they are allowed to chat on their phones without handsfree things (though this oke was chatting to his girlfriend)

I got same silly answer. Washing is one solution. Maybe they don't wash or don't have a washing machine or maid (this time at home) doing it for them. Sometimes people in a bunch smell like that.

If it is too messy, just eat normal stuff so you won't need chemical gels or stick the stuff in your little packet you brought from home. The only thing I throw is banana peels and other organic matter and occasionally wordsSmile.
