Just before Jesus' ascension He told His deciples that He has to go to prepare a place for us at the house of His Father (Jewish tradition had it that the son would build a place for him and his wife onto the existing house of his father). Not clear where this is.He also told them that He would send The Holy Spirit as comforter until His return. I for one believe in the rapture. I get goosebumps when I think of the day I will meet my Maker! I truly believe that I may be fortunate enough that this day will happen in my lifetime (no, probably not 21 May though ) Note that not all Christians believe that there will be a rapture. I for sure won't go to heaven, but I am not too perturbed about going to hell either, because apparently there is gonna be a new heaven and earth meaning the current heaven, earth and presumably hell will just disappear and me along with it (I have no seen any mention of the continuation of hell once the heaven and earth refresh has occurred). As long as I don't have to hang around somewhere for eternity (hell or heaven) I will be quite happy!

That is probably because you read nowhere that the Hell already exists. Hell will have it's 1st tenants only after the final judgement.

Hell was designed as an eternal prison for satan and his angels. While they are free to roam the earth presently the punishment for them turning their backs on God is going to be very real. When or how they are going to land up in hell with all the naughty boys from earth, I dont know. But you can be pretty sure that it is going to be pretty much forever.

What a testament. Not many people can turn around from where you were. It just show's you God never give up, so why should we.. I dont believe the world is gonna end 21 may but i wish it did. Imagine living in those final hours/days...
