  1. Exactly...which is what you should also be able to do on some singletrack around a berm. Withough having to 1-foot hop hop hop around a corner on a 10 degree decline
  2. as was Wines to Whales last year ... And the sections that weren't were full of idiots who don't know how to ride a MOUNTAIN bike...
  3. Oh no! Not innovation! Not change! My poor Strava KOM's! Yes they belong. They're in the spirit of true mtb riding anyway. Chill chat and rip it on some ST on the way down with your mates.
  4. And? You really find it being irritating in your vision? perhaps my eyes sit lower down on my head
  5. Yeah have tried the inner tightening mechanism adjustment and will give the pads a go as well to see. I wonder why people moan about the visor though...
  6. Having ridden since shortly after they landed in RSA...The visor is NOT problem in the slightest. However the lid is a little front heavy and has a slight tendency to want to flop downward if not tightned. Which so far has only been marginally irritating. Mostly only though when landing off drops while wearing sunglasses.
  7. All of them...the point is this... Is there any detriment to dropping the saddle further? Not in my mind. So why pay money for a 100mm drop post when you can pay the same for the 150mm one which is far more versatile? When it gets very steep you notice the lack of travel. I would struggle to go back to my 125mm dropper. That's nonsensical.
  8. I have the 150mm drop and it has been flawless. Also have a Reverb...they're pricey to buy and pricey to service if you forget maintenance.
  9. Ya that is insanely stupid...
  10. The SuperGravity Magic Mary...riding it as a front tyre and it's total overkill on the front. So should be great on the back
  11. Ah...you okes need to go faster for that drop n the table man...pedal pedal pedal Gonna have to whip Taahir into shape
  12. Dude...after riding these this weekend I can tell you there were MANY okes who'd be willing to assist. So perhaps arrange something and put it out (to a few peeps) when the time comes and we could go ahead and surely do a lot of maintenance in a day with 10 okes. That place really deserves more love and credit...and perhaps even a few larger features...now that I managed the road gap
  13. Just remember that without what us normal peeps would consider dangerous/stupid there'd be very little progression in any extreme sport. Will chat to Nico if/when we consider it. Maybe he has some rad ideas in wait as well.
  14. Good thing I've never had any high stance on rogue riding
  15. What's the deal with building/rehab there? Can anyone head over play. More so in the upper first quarry section seeing as it's already an environmental disaster anyway? So much potential for some other lines up there too.
  16. kief, will pay 2x next time then. And will see if any mates are in signage to try arrange on to be put up
  17. Some were riding. Where are we supposed to pay? Oke at the gate was not interested.
  18. Not if you go beg for old ones at your LBS...Aka Mr Haylett
  19. Safe enough...but bike's are meant to get scratched occasionally dude... Depends on how well you protect it.
  20. Nice vid but you okes need to speed up yo! If you aint falling you ain't going fast enough...or at least that's how I'm justifying my dirt eating session on the small stuff lower down...thank goodness for the body armor
  21. Not sure on pricing for the Leatt yet...but I doubt it'll come in under 4.5k
  22. I'm gonna wait and order me the Leatt next year...after finding a buyer for my kidney...
  23. There are not many people that ever go back once they give flats a proper go.
  24. So...until recently I have been riding the Saint's. Step 1...remove the washers Step 2...enjoy the awesome ride Anyway, they're great and I have enjoyed em. But then I got a second bike (HT) and moved the Saint's across to it and needed new flats for the Spitfire. CRC...Spank Oozy Trail...Though I'd give em a try as almost R1000 cheaper (landed) than local and not significantly more then the Saints either. OMFS...a marked improvement over the Saints...instantly noticeable. I have recently been having to ride in skate sneakers due to my Spez 2FO's being warranteed (again) due to the soles having chunks torn out (this time after 5 weeks) and the Saint's with sneakers are OK, but the Spanks...still 100%. With a proper pair of flat shoes they're beyond sick. Anyhoo...would 100% recommend to anyone...but honestly.NOT at RSA pricing...
  25. I use them about 60% of the time. The Leatt Airflex knee's and elbows are super comfy even for all day rides. I've ridden 50km+ rides on them and the knee's don't bother me. They also offer very good protection, but they're not a DH oriented pad. Best place I've found to get em is Track Mac in Durbanville/Paarden Island (http://trac-mac.com/store/). I've also tried on the G Form ones and they were not nearly as comfortable as the Leatt.
