    Lol, I did have the seat a bit higher as I had an insane climb on the weekend. Wish the dropper post was 150MM so that I could keep it all the way down. But yes I do pedal up the mountains as well. Earn your descent

    R100 per day is cheap for GRTP. The accommodation is also dirt cheap. WRT the Pure darkness crew, if anything GRTP is being taken for a ride (accommodation / machinery / given them free will to build whatever / labour / wood etc) but is done in good will and for the love of MTB. On top of that do you still expect them to drop R200k on this? This is where sponsors like Red Bull / Monster should come in. I agree it is a lot of money - perhaps they should do it back home.

    Finally rode the 'plumber' black trail on the weekend. Definitely up there in terms of gnarlyness. Up top its quite steep with drop offs at funny angles so you really need good control of the bike. Did all but one drop off which seemed over vert and it looked like I was going to crank stall it so opted to rather come back with full face helmet. Also the rocky section is dangerous as hell - again I would have preferred to have full face with me. The jumps all looked amazing - even the big step up. Sadly the wind was pumping so gave most of them a skip but will be back soon. All in all, a VERY tech and dangerous trail but tonnes of fun and progression. Literally dozens of features. Be sure to walk it first. Also did red trail again as well. Super fun but it is has taken a beating. Will be amazing this winter.

    Fox Rampage Pro Carbon. More than I wanted to spend but got gatvol of waiting and I was able to try it on and it fit beautifully. Also managed to wangle 10% discount

    How are you finding the rims? P-AM2? CWC have Hope Pro 2 EVO with Flow EX for R5400... Seriously tempted to upgrade but truth be told the rims have been pretty solid so far, still running true just a ding or two on the side wall. I suppose the biggest upgrade will be a much better hub and slightly lighter wheels.
