  6. simple, bike companies dont make money from second hand sales, they want us to buy new bikes. Not only in the cycling industry either, many other sports based equipement will only carry a warrenty for the original buyer. money makes the world go round!

  11. I am taking delivery of my first "plastic" mtb on Friday/Saturday. What are the do's and dont's of owning a carbon bike? Any special cleaning instructions? Transport? read a while back about people saying dont use the normal hanger racks to transport carbon bikes? Will be insuring for full amount

  15. good points!! To be honest, without races what is the point of training every weekend? sure the social aspect, but I would like to use all the training I have been doing in a race setting

My view, without trying to sound pompus and arrogant: I have no problem in paying R200 for being out in nature with a bunch of like minded people, pushing myself for a few hours on my bike, having a laugh and moan. If i did not race on the weekends I would be at the pub spending a hell of a lot more than R200, that I can promise! Am I going to go set up my own paths, organise watering points, get marshals and what ever else goes into these events............NO WAYS!! I would rather just pay my R200 and ride, and then go home! But I guess if, like some of you have more than one rider you paying for then it does get costly.

  23. i agree, he is dam good, remember when skulk went through the same patch, giving away penalties like a short skirted girl gives her happiness away on point rd! he reminds me of Lennie from the book "of mice and men".....an arb comment I know but those who have read the book or watched the movie will know where I am going with it!
