  1. The "K" does not get stuck on the keyboards in JHB though! You are deffinately lucky, If I want to ride I got to load and drive 40km! unless I want to ride at MTN cycle park which is about as much fun as riding around my lounge! stayed in PMB when I was young and could ride out my gate and staight into the forrest of Cascades....ah....bliss!! another good thing you got in Bloem is bike shops who have good prices and want customers, not like the jHB shops (well most of them)
  2. Hi, have you checking your Body Fat %? I would also include weight training into your schedule, the more muscle you have the more your body needs to work to feed the muscle, thus burnng more fat. If funds allow go get a proper diet. There are many mistakes we make when following diets we see in magazines and in adverts from suppliment companies. I am down 33kgs from when I was 3 years ago, saw a dietitian this year and made the last 10 much easier! good luck
  3. who is Cherise? pics?
  4. me neither,i fill my mouth with water before i start and just take little sips when a need, but will try your arm licking trick when i run out next time
  5. another big up to Juan from me!! did a bike setup last week, excellent and friendly service!
  6. there should be a standard form that needs to be completed when selling a complete bike, with mandatory fields eg: SIZE, LOCATION, PRICE, PHOTO
  7. I had a Merida Ninty Six 3000 I must have had a dud Magura Fork, worst fork I have ever had. Appart from that bike was great, at the time I could not find anything as well spec'd in the same price range.
  8. Deffinately got to use the Craddle Route!!!! The residents will love it!
  9. just made my week!!! brilliant
  10. never met him, was he a spin bowler?
  11. the mx guys spray silicone or similar under the mudgaurds, stops the mud from sticking and making the bike heavy and unbalanced, not sure how effective it is
  12. my 2 cents import duties on a complete bike are large. When/if something goes wrong you got nobody to take it back to. Where are you based? I would rather look at solomons, they got some great specials on at the moment
  13. oh yeah! will pm you
  14. you got an entry?
  15. Paris Hilton One night in Paris was MUCH better than the second one she did
  16. Bjorn Borg Rocky was successful though!

  20. if we not 'allowed' bar ends on riser bars, does it mean I have to remove my streamers from the bars also?
  21. I rode them and loved them, pretty pricey though, think I paid about 600 bucks a tire. I rode Saguaro on the back and Barro Mountain front. I will ride them again
  22. dude check what it is going to cost to bring back first, i had a mate who did the same but the money he would have saved by buying there was swolled up by the cost of bringing it back
  23. definately check out Solomons for a bike. http://www.solomons.co.za/taxonomy/term/241?page=2 There is nothing wrong with looking at second hand bikes, as long as they are clean and have been looked after. You will be getting a lot more for your money with a second hand bike. Remember you only get about 50-60% of the new price for a bike when selling, so if you spend 3500-4000 on a second hand bike it would be a 7000 - 10000 bike and more if new. I would save the cash for a hydro pack for now, when you doig longer distances it is nice to have, I ride marathons without it sometimes If i know there are good water points, they can get hot and uncomfy. Computer is necessary for training. Good luck! welcome to a great sport
  24. yes definately, i have just moved to a stumpy from a merida ninty six, weight in at 96 kgs and am so much more comfy on the stumpy thatn i was on the 96, riding faster on it in marathons than i did on a full race xc bike
  25. what bike is that?
